T-TAG is committed to:

  • Working with the City of Tampa to enhance the protection of our trees.
  • Promoting the planting of native trees and shrubs.
  • Educating Tampa's residents on issues of preserving and protecting our trees.

Mission Statement

Tampa Tree Advocacy Group engages, advocates and collaborates with local government and the local community to preserve, protect and expand the urban tree forest.

Vision Statement

Our group will advocate to protect and preserve the Grand Trees of Tampa by:


  • Supporting the development of laws and guidelines that provide for tree oversight and reduce unnecessary tree removal.
  • Alerting developers about the importance of tree preservation in the early states of their planning.
  • Promoting inspecting of tree health by ISA certified arborists.
  • Expecting strict, timely enforcement of tree code violations.
  • Providing tree information to the public and supporting citizens with tree concerns.
